Music
The series of photos below were taken for a project and I decided to incorporate one of my hobbies: music. I was inspired one week during a piano lesson with the various instruments around my Grandfather’s music room. They all hold different memories from days spent with him in that very room. The subject of each photo is one of the various instruments or equipment around the room, as well as, my own bass guitars, violins and ukulele. I used various compositional techniques as well as working with more of a smaller depth of field. I also decided to present the photos in black and white to make them feel like more of a cohesive series and express the nostalgia I felt.
